Manufacturing
Since 1963 our facilities in Alberta have built hundreds of truck, rail, rail/truck, mining truck and axle scales. We've designed and manufactured just about every configuration imaginable; from 10' axle scales up to 140' truck scales with capacities reaching 250 tonne and almost everything in between, our list of end users is extensive.
Our fabrication department in Edmonton produces as many as 30 truck scales annually as well as numerous other "custom designed" heavy capacity vehicle scales.
In 2004 Precision began the process of introducing "Lean Manufacturing" into the company. Lean Manufacturing was developed as part of Toyota's Production System and is considered the foremost production system in the world today. Lean Manufacturing focuses on Quality, Safety, Continuous Improvement and Eliminating Waste that does not produce value. The introduction of Lean Manufacturing is a process as the culture of the company changes also.
With our lean manufacturing processes, we have one of the most efficient scale fabrication facilities in Western Canada, all fabrication equipment, procedures and safety programs are state of the art. Our certified welders and fabrication team can produce the quality that you are looking for in a vehicle scale. Custom fabrication is yet another function of quality that Precision Scale can produce with our diverse fabrication capabilities. Our weigh scale bridge designs, which are engineered, have stood the test of time to resist deflection and structural fatigue.
