- Problem Summary: This Company was looking for a reputable scale company to help with their pull testing of various hard points on 2 barges and the tug boat "Henry Christoffersen", these vessels were based out of Hay River, NWT and they were owned by Northern Transportation Company, the "Henry Christoffersen is a 783 tug boat which is registered under Transport Canada's guidelines.
The Solution
The solution was to utilize a dynamometer and to supply the manpower to do pull tests on the various hard points of these barges and the tug boat. The hard points tested were the stern lifting pad eyes, safety line pad eyes, center towing pad eyes, starboard and port side Ramsey's, port trolley and gun shack trolleys. When all test points had been completed a complete set of data sheets along with calibration reports were supplied to the client.
