Vessel Weighing

- Problem Summary: One of the biggest concerns any crane company has is lifting an unknown weight. The same goes for a trucking company that is contracted to haul an unknown weight. Mammoet Canada has been contracted to haul the large Cokers up to Fort McMurray and lift them into position. Mammoet needed a solution to find the exact weight of each piece and also the center of gravity of these cokers.
The Solution
Precision Scale provided a system of high compression load cell weigh modules. Each cell has the capacity of 100,000 lbs making the total capacity of the package 1.3 million pounds. With the slim design we were able to place these units under the load where we could precisely determine the weights and center of gravity of each Coker unit before shipping. Coupled with a digital indicator and placed in a heavy duty "Pelican" case for shipping or storage makes this weigh module and indicator a very convenient package to customers.
