Weighing Transit Cars
- Client: Edmonton Transit, Edmonton, Alberta
- Problem Summary: Edmonton Transit was loading some light rail transit cars which were going to Bombardier for a refit. In order to ship them they had to know the gross weight of the rail cars.
The Solution
The solution was to utilize 4 x 50,000-lb revere transducer load cells and when connected to a 4 channel Rice Lake Weighing Systems 920i HMI digital indicator, this formed a weighing system for Edmonton Transit to use. We had a technician go to the site and perform all of the weighments to Edmonton Transit's approval.
