Capacity and Sizes
Small scales are used where the smallest graduation size is in the 0.001-gram up to the 1-gram range. Laboratory balances are more specialized with resolutions down to 0.000001-gram, they are also available with many options such as, RS-232 outputs, below balance weighing, internal calibration weights.
